RIM Unveils "Professional" Tablet
Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 08:55AM In its race to keep pace with Apple and the iPad, BlackBerry maker Reasearch in Motion announced yesterday its long-awaited tablet device - called the PlayBook. The PlayBook's OS is powered by QNX Software, a Canadian company RIM acquired earlier this year. The device, to launch early in 2011, features a 7-inch touchscreen, a rear and front-facing camera (for video conferencing), and will initially run on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only (3G and 4G models will come later).
