The Man Behind the Gaming Content in the iTunes App Store

Matt Casamassina will be the new global editorial games manager for Apple's App Store.  Casamassina has spent the last 13 years covering Nintendo at game publisher IGN.   Here's how Casamassina describes his new role:

iPad Accounts for 26% of Wired's Mobile Traffic

According to Wired's Gadget Lab blog, Apple’s iPad already accounts for 26 percent of the mobile devices accessing Wired.com. Overall, mobile devices account for between 2.3 percent and 3.5 percent Wired's traffic.  So, while the iPad's share of mobile traffic is extremely impressive - implying significant web browsing taking place on the roughly 500,000 iPads that are currently out in the wild - it still represents less than 1.0% of total traffic.  The vast majority of Wired's mobile traffic (approximately two-thirds) is still driven by iPhone/iPod Touch, with the DROID accounting for roughly 5-7%.
